Here is Sydney's BIG present from Santa, unfortunately she is sick with a stomach virus and has not eaten in about 3 days, but the doc says we just do not need to worry she will eat when she is ready, very hard thing to do "not worry" about my baby.

Happy Holidays

It has been so hard to get good pictures of Sydney lately, she is at a stage where she sees the camera coming and she runs, boy does this make it hard on mom and dad. I did manage to get some decent ones during Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I am so thankful for my husband, and my baby girl this year.

Sydney was Baptised a couple of Sundays ago and I wanted to show off her beautiful dress.

Finally an Update

I know we have not posted an update but here she is after being with us a little over 3 months.. I will try to post at least once a week from now on. Sydney is doing great and growing taller and more beautiful every day.

We are off to get Sydney

We are off early in the morning to Nanchang to pick up Sydney where we will stay for 6 nights. Today we toured Hong Kong but it rained all day so not much touring. The attached picture is from a mountain that overlooks ALOT of apartment buildings. I will post pics of Syd when we settle in Nanchang.

Half way around the world...

We were able to actually SEE & talk to each other this morning...morning for me, about 9:30. For them, 10:30 at night. It is amazing that they are half way around the world and we can see each & talk as if they were just down the street.
I am so excited for all of us. The waiting is almost over. I hope to see Sydney's little face, LIVE on my computer in the next couple of days! I sure miss them. Can hardly wait untill all 3 are back in the US, in Shreveport, LA.

Arrived in Hong Kong

We finally arrived in Hong Kong tonight. It was the longest flight and cramped, but we are here and are going to try to get a good nights sleep, tomorrow we will tour Hong Kong and have the night free. Then Sunday morning we will wake up and fly to Nanchang and pick up Sydney. I will post after we get her.

We are FINALLY leaving!!!!

We leave on May 21st and head to China to pick up Sydney. We will fly to her orphanage on Sunday May 24th and pick her up. We will stay in China until June 7th and fly back to the U.S. I will update this blog while we are gone. See ya soon.

And here are the other 2 members of the family, Maggie (Top) and Peanut.

Well it has been 3 weeks since our referral and we can't wait to go and get her! Here is an updated picture we received last week.
